Here's a bit more about who I am, what I love and why I wake up each day...
Long, long ago
The importance of design and detail, especially in relation to business, has been apparent to me even from a young age. Growing up amongst a creative family also supported my ability to flourish as a designer. I began my education at The Art Institute of Colorado, where I obtained my Associate of Applied Science Degree in Web Design and Interactive Media (2012). After relocating to Southern California post-graduation, I continued my undergraduate education at Colorado State University's Global Campus where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management with a specialization in Small Business and Entrepreneurship (2014). In order to further strengthen my understanding of small business and entrepreneurship, I continued on to obtain my Master of Science Degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Full Sail University (2016). My ultimate goal is to combine my knowledge and experience in order to provide logical, functional and beneficial administrative and/or design services to support and grow businesses.
Always Learning
I spent almost five years working for a local design studio, where I was able to apply and expand my education and knowledge. During my time as a staff designer, I learned to successfully provide clients with results that met deadlines and exceeded expectations. Many clients utilized the company's services to create and design presentations intended for live production; therefore, the need for perfectionistic attention to detail became an integral part of providing quality work. I worked on many projects that involved company branding, HTML emails, webpages, multimedia, and both digital and print designs. Working on such a diverse scope of projects allowed me to expand my abilities and strengthen my skills, both in the design and administrative realms. I also worked on a variety of freelance projects involving administrative support and branding, web design, and digital/print work. I enjoy taking on work that challenges me to push my skills even further. I love every detail of the designing process, from concepts to creations!
my why
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. We love the vast experiences available in Southern California. From off-roading through a mountain to a beach day on the sand, we feel at home when exploring and enjoying all that nature has to offer us. I also enjoy singing and playing music, organizing and decorating my home, taking and editing photography, and implementing my craft of handletttering into a variety of projects. I am a polymath and multi-tasker who loves to be around friends and family. I have always had an interest in making all things look aesthetically pleasing. But at the end of the each day, my family keeps me determined to keep going and learning. I aim to find joy throughout each day, from the people who surround me to the work that I create.
